Best uses
- Check ANA-operated Japan flights during its low and regular award seasons for lower mileage requirements.
- Search one way when only one direction has a confirmed business-class seat.
Can you change or cancel?
- You can change the date or flight on an eligible ANA award, but not the passenger, airline, route or cabin.
- Eligible unused-ticket refunds cost 3,000 miles, or the local equivalent of JPY 3,000 for qualifying online refunds.
A waitlist is not a booking
- Choose confirmed seats if you need a secured flight. ANA may offer a waitlist; partner awards cannot be waitlisted.

Find and book on ANA’s website
- Choose the right award search. Select ANA International Flight Awards for ANA flights, or Partner Airline Flight Awards for partners.
- Search your dates and business cabin. ANA’s own prices vary by season; compare nearby dates and one-way options.
- Check the booking deadline. Partner awards generally need at least 96 hours before the first flight. Follow the ticketing deadline shown.

Managing your miles
Mileage expiration
- Ordinary miles generally expire at the end of their 36th month; new activity does not reset the age of the existing miles. Campaign miles can have different deadlines.
Booking for family
- Register eligible relatives before using your miles for their awards.
Combining family balances
- The overseas Family Account service covers two to eight eligible relatives. Registration costs 1,000 miles and can take about two weeks.
- For partner awards using combined miles, a contributing member must satisfy ANA’s recent international-flight requirement.
